Diddy’s family pays him a visit in prison on Christmas Day

At Fort Dix Prison in New Jersey, Justin, 31, met Combs, who was found guilty of two prostitution-related offenses earlier this year and given a 50-month prison sentence. The two had a heart-to-heart.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Combs’ agent Juda Engelmayer said, “Justin visited him.” They conversed and caught up on one other’s lives. They discussed how to deal with the challenges of the present while thinking back on the past, drawing lessons from it, and improving going forward.

“Having family nearby was very important to Diddy, especially on Christmas.”

Justin spent about ninety minutes there.

Along with five of his siblings, Justin, whom Diddy shares with stylist Misa Hylton, went to Combs’ sentencing hearing in October and pleaded the judge to give his father another chance.

“A second chance at life, a second chance to right his wrongs, a second chance to be the man he truly is,” CNN reports he requested from the judge.

Justin went on to say that his 56-year-old father has “changed for the better” and is a “superhero.”

He continued by saying, “I think my father still has a lot to offer the world and, more significantly, his kids.”

Diddy’s release date has been moved to June 4, 2028, per Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate documents that PEOPLE examined in November.
