Pop artist Miley Cyrus and producer Maxx Morando become engaged
The 33-year-old actor and the 27-year-old singer recently got engaged after dating for four years, according to Page Six of the New York Post.
When the couple walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles opening of Avatar: Fire and Ash earlier this week, rumors spread that they were going to get married.
Miley and Maxx posed for pictures at the launch. The singer who is currently at the top of the charts was seen wearing a diamond ring with a thick gold band around it.
Later, Miley’s rep, Francesca Consulting, revealed that the sparkling engagement ring was custom-made by designer Jacquie Aiche.
Francesca also told us more about the ring and confirmed that Miley was wearing a 14-karat yellow gold band that was “chunky.”
The couple already has a congratulations post from Maxx’s dad, Dan Morando, on social media. But Miley and Maxx haven’t said anything public about their engagement.
Between 2018 and 2020, Miley was married to actor Liam Hemsworth. The pop star has said in the past that it was hard for her to deal with their breakup.
According to her, “Sometimes you miss people more than others and sometimes things get easier,” she said on The Howard Stern Show. Eventually, everything gets better, but at that point in time, I felt really strong. Some days I don’t, though.
A wildfire destroyed the couple’s home in California, and Miley says that it was that event that caused their relationship to change.
“Everything I had was gone. Every song I had ever written was in that house,” she said.
“I lost all of my scripts and the picture of me that my parents had given me.” I didn’t think, “Oh, nature kind of did something I couldn’t do for myself; it forced me to let go,” as I tried to put that back together. Instead, I ran toward the fire. In fact, a lot of animals do this and die, like deer that run into the bush.
“You’re drawn to that heat, and I’m an intense person who doesn’t want to sit with it or think, ‘What could be purposeful about this?’” Just holding on to us was all I had left of that house. Also, I really did and still do love him a lot, and I always will.
