Duania Wamaitha, a Kenyan-Dutch artist, releases “Have Some Fun (Not The One),” which was produced by Savara

The new track “Have Some Fun (Not the One)” by rising Kenyan-born Amsterdam-based singer Dunia Wamaitha (previously known as Dunia) is currently available via Sol Generation Publishing and streaming on all major platforms. The new song by Dunia Wamaitha is a celebration of happiness, self-assurance, and making your own decisions without regret. It embodies the essence of feeling strong, seductive, and rooted despite life’s obstacles, all encased in an enticing melody that is perfect for repeat listening.

Dunia is a creative force with roots in Nairobi’s cultural soundscape. She has carved out a unique artistic identity for herself while pulling inspiration from Kenya’s renowned musical legacy, which includes the legendary band Sauti Sol.

“Have Some Fun (Not the One)” presents Dunia as a daring, revitalizing voice forging her own path by fusing Afropop sounds with an upbeat dance groove. The song, which was produced by renowned Kenyan musician and producer Savara, combines Dunia’s endearing voice and motivating lyricism with Savara’s distinctive sound.

Dunia had a long history with music. At the age of four, she declared her desire to become a musician and recalled making up bedtime rhymes as a child. As she matured, taking part in professional musicals bolstered her confidence as a singer and increased her enthusiasm for the art. She adds her passion to make music that inspires and uplifts was further validated by her studio experience with Savara, which was full of laughing, synergy, and natural creativity.

Regarding the new track, Dunia says: “I wanted to create a song that would make people feel strong and seductive, regardless of what they’re going through. It symbolizes my desire to embrace both logic and intuition, embracing my femininity while remaining autonomous and strategic, and it combines pop and Afro elements. It’s about being really myself and using balance to discover empowerment.

Dunia is a performer as well. Over time, she has come to see her sensitivity to the world as a strength that helps her express herself honestly and purposefully. Dunia’s song “Have Some Fun (Not the One)” ushers in a significant new era that will likely include more music, intricate narratives, and creative endeavors in 2026. Dunia wants to use her art to make places where people can express their self-assurance, completeness, and individuality. She wants to encourage listeners of all genders to be real, strong, and clear about who they are.
