Jada Pinkett Smith Faces $3 Million Lawsuit

Jada Pinkett Smith allegedly threatened to “catch a bullet” if he continued “telling her business” to a former coworker.

Bilaal Salaam, better known by his stage as Brother Bilaal, has stated that he has been Will Smith’s “best friend” for almost 40 years and is suing the 54-year-old actress for $3 million.

According to PEOPLE, a complaint filed this week claims that on September 25, 2021, at a private celebration for Smith’s 53rd birthday, Pinkett Smith accosted Salaam in the Regency Calabasas Commons lobby.

According to reports, she was accompanied at the time by about “seven members of her entourage.”

He has claimed that the Gotham star “got verbally hostile, and threatened Plaintiff by saying that he would “end up missing or get a bullet” if he didn’t stop “telling her personal stuff.”

A nondisclosure agreement was “demanded” by her, he added, “or else.”

Her team allegedly followed Salaam to his vehicle while they persisted in “issuing verbal threats,” according to the lawsuit.

Salaam further stated that around the end of March 2022, after Smith had hit Chris Rock over a joke about Pinkett Smith’s shaved hair, he turned down a mutual friend’s request for his assistance with “crisis management.”

He “refused to perform tasks he believed were illegal, unethical, or morally compromising,” according to the lawsuit, and he insisted that “his conscience would not allow him to be involved in any cover-up or deceptive PR campaign.”

Following their 2016 separation, he has claimed that people close to the husband and wife have threatened him.

Salaam said he has received more threats as a result of his plans to create a “whistleblower memoir” about his encounters with the two.

His lawsuit alleges that she intentionally caused him emotional pain.

His complaint also cites his 2023 allegations on Unwine With Tasha K that he witnessed a sexual conduct between Smith and Duane Martin.

Before informing TMZ that she and Smith intended to file a lawsuit, Pinkett Smith called the assertion “nonsense.”

According to Salaam, the defendant never brought legal action. The claim was untrue, careless, and made with the intention of swaying public opinion and harming the plaintiff’s reputation.

“Her emissaries” and Pinkett Smith have attempted to “bribe, intimidate, and suppress” him, he continued.

He has claimed to have experienced a “complete derailment of his personal life and career,” financial loss, emotional turmoil, physical health problems, and reputational damage.
