Is Davido contemplating more shows following the sellout at BK Arena?

Afrobeats superstar Davido is said to be considering the option of holding another concert in Kigali this upcoming weekend, according to The New Times.

The announcement follows the Grammy-nominated singer’s swift sell-out of his December 5 concert at BK Arena, which occurred just a week prior to the event.

The Kigali concert is a segment of his “5IVE Alive” world tour, which honors his fifth studio album 5IVE, launched in April 2025. The show will include performances by Rwanda’s own Juno Kizigenza, Ariel Wayz, Kid From Kigali, and Kitoko, who will be taking the stage in Kigali for the first time since moving to the UK over ten years ago.

Throughout the week, ticket demand escalated until the system indicated a total sellout on Friday, November 28. Davido was notified soon after and took to X to share his excitement – and suggest a second show – posting, “Rwanda sold out!!” Day 2

Although the artist has expressed interest, it is still uncertain if any formal discussions have occurred among Davido’s management, the promoter, and BK Arena officials.

Reports suggest that an agreement has not yet been finalized, although both parties remain open to the idea of arranging an extra show for Davido following the confirmed performance on Friday.

The “5IVE Alive” tour makes its way to Kigali following a successful run in North America and an upcoming major homecoming concert in Nigeria later this month.

Davido’s 2025 journey has featured a significant performance at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige, as well as several sold-out shows in the U.S. alongside emerging Nigerian talents Victony and Morravey.

He is one of Africa’s most celebrated artists, with an impressive collection of MTV Awards, BET Awards, Soul Train Awards, The Headies, and others.
