Nicaraguan authorities free over 40 political activists and dissidents from jail

About 40 political critics were freed from prison by Nicaraguan authorities on Saturday, two political activists in Nicaragua told Reuters. According to them, the released inmates will continue to be under house arrest and make frequent reports to the police.
