Vin Diesel Gives The Rock Lots of Praise After The Feud Is Over

Vin Diesel has commended his “dynamic” collaboration with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson after their feud ended.

Following his unexpected debut in Fast X in 2023, the former wrestler claimed that he and Vin had “put the past behind” them. The two stars had previously sparred amid rumors of problems on the set of the Fast and Furious films.

Vin has now praised his former rival’s current portrayal of his pal Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine.

Alongside an old Instagram picture of them together on set, he wrote: “One of the best gifts in life isn’t something you can purchase, it’s the relationships you make along the way.”

Allow me to briefly discuss The Smashing Machine. Mark Kerr was one of my first buddies after moving from New York to California, something that most people are unaware of. We clicked right away, and it’s because he is honestly one of the warmest, most compassionate individuals you will ever meet. In a charming sense, he was there when my action career started because he truly trained me for the first XXX. From the beginning, he has been that kind of buddy.

Allow me to also congratulate Dwayne. What it takes to maintain a global perception on a daily basis is not understood by the public. One of our global family members, Jan, commented that she would love to work with Dwayne when I asked them who they would most like to see me work with.

What transpired was one of the most dynamic film combinations, with two powerful personalities pushing one another to produce something truly remarkable. With complete dedication, he entered Hobbs and made a lasting impression on Universal’s character hall of fame.

This moment is very well-deserved by Mark Kerr. Dwayne actually did it. Not only did he shine, but he transported us back in time.

“I’m proud of you two.” (sic)

In 2016, Vin and Dwayne’s apparent fight gained attention after the latter criticized a “chicken s***” and “candy a**” co-star on Instagram.

Furthermore, in 2021, Vin, then 58, stated that he had used “tough love” to persuade the Jungle Cruise star to perform better on their films.

In 2021, he said in an interview with Men’s Health magazine: “The Hobbs character was difficult to play.

“To help bring that performance where it needed to be, I used a lot of tough love at the time. “As a producer, we’re going to take Dwayne Johnson, who is associated with wrestling, and we’re going to force this cinematic world, audience members, to regard his character as someone that they don’t know.”

When his 53-year-old co-star heard what Vin had to say, he said he “laughed and laughed.”

The Hollywood Reporter quoted him as saying, “I laughed and I laughed hard.” Everyone must have laughed at that. That is all I will say. I’ve also sent them my best wishes. Good luck to them on “Fast 9.” Additionally, I hope they have success with Fast 10 and Fast 11, as well as the remaining Fast and Furious films they will make without me.

But Dwayne made an unexpected cameo in a Fast X mid-credit scene, and if the franchise takes off, he will return for the eleventh film.

Vin and I put all the past behind us last summer, he tweeted shortly after the release of Fast X in 2023.

“We’ll take care of the franchise, characters, and FANS that we love at all times, and lead with brotherhood and resolve.”
