Kylian Mbappé’s 31 La Liga goals in his debut season with Real Madrid earn him the 2024–25 European Golden Boot.
Kylian Mbappé, a forward for Real Madrid, has finished an incredible first season with the Spanish powerhouses by winning the 2024–25 European Golden Boot.
With 31 goals in 34 La Liga games and 62 points to finish ahead of opponents Viktor Gyökeres and Mohamed Salah, Mbappé won the accolade. The award was given out during a ceremony in Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
Florentino Pérez, the president of Real Madrid, praised the French player for his incredible season during the occasion, calling his 44 goals in all competitions a historic accomplishment and pointing out that Mbappé’s victory was Real Madrid’s first Golden Shoe since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2010–11.
Mbappé thanked the team, supporters, and teammates for their steadfast support.
“My first Ballon d’Or,” he stated. Winning this first one and being named Europe’s best scorer is an honor. I’d like to express my gratitude to all of my teammates and the entire staff of @realmadrid for supporting me daily in being my best self. Without you at my side, nothing would be possible.
“And finally, I want to say thanks to all the Madridistas who have given me so much love from the very beginning,” Mbappé said, acknowledging the supporters. I’ll see you at the Bernabéu tomorrow! “Hala Madrid!”
The 26-year-old’s most recent honor solidifies his position as one of the most productive forwards in world football and adds to his expanding list of accomplishments since joining Real Madrid.
