50 Cent Honors a Shoutout to Taylor Swift
50 Cent is happy that he was mentioned on Taylor Swift’s most recent album.
The 50-year-old rapper was ecstatic to be mentioned on the sixth track of Taylor’s most recent album, The Life of a Showgirl, Ruin the Friendship.
“@taylorswift s*** is popping right now, she shout me out, she don’t shout you out,” he posted on Instagram. HAHA, THIS IS ONLY FOR BIG TIMERS!
“Wait, I’m the only person mentioned in the entire album.”
Taylor reflects on a youthful crush and regrets not taking a chance and kissing the person on the emotional track.
“And it wasn’t an invitation,” she sings, “but as the 50 Cent song played, I should’ve kissed you anyhow.”
“And it was inconvenient, no. It would have been the best error. Hey, I should have kissed you anyhow.”
The song may be about Jeffrey Lang, who Swift went to Hendersonville High School with, according to fan speculation.
In November 2010, he passed away at the age of 21.
“Yesterday, I sang at the funeral of one of my best friends,” she remarked at the 2010 BMI Country Music Awards following his passing. I used to perform my music for him first, and he was 21. Thus, I want to express my gratitude to Jeff Lang.
Taylor, meantime, has stated that she is not in a rush to tour with her new album. Taylor established history with her record-breaking Eras Tour, which ran 149 shows from 2023 to 2024.
“I’m going to be really honest with you,” she stated on BBC Radio 1 Breakfast with Greg James. I would like to do it very, really well again, but the thought of doing it again makes me feel so exhausted.
For all of us on that tour, it was really astounding. We asked, “What’s going on?” In a short period of time, it evolved into something that well above our initial hopes for the tour.
“I was aware that the situation was bizarre. Nothing like that has ever happened to us. My band and I have been together for a very long period. My team, my touring family, and I are all very close and have been for a very long time, and none of us have ever experienced anything similar.
