Jack Osbourne Talks About How His Heart Was Broken by Ozzy and Sharon
Jack Osbourne is still in shock over the heartache his parents’ move caused him.
The 39-year-old talked candidly about how much he cherishes family time and how he and his children were affected by Sharone and Ozzy Osbourne’s decision to relocate far away.
Even though he didn’t agree with his parents’ decision to relocate, Jack Osbourne has shown his affection for them in a number of ways, most notably by refusing to let anyone bring shame to their names or ruin their reputation.
Jack Osbourne Disapproved of His Parents’ Relocation
Jack was open about how he felt about his parents’ choice to go to England from America just before his father died. The fact that they would be leaving him and their grandkids behind hurt his heart, he claimed.
Scenes that showed their move made Jack cry while he was filming a documentary to honor his late father, Ozzy, but he still objected.
It would be emotionally taxing, he admitted to the producers, and practically speaking, they wouldn’t be able to spend as much time together as they would if they stayed in the same nation.
He continued by discussing the value of having a positive relationship with grandparents, calling it “priceless.” “You know, it’s like, I can go over, I can realistically I can bring my kids over there once a year,” he added.
According to The Daily Mail, Jack expressed his worries to his mother, Sharon, about her connection with his eldest daughter, Pearl, in another clip from the same documentary.
He claimed that although they were very close, this move would only allow them to spend time together once or twice a year. The father of four was unable to perceive any difference despite Sharon’s assurances that it would not be as he believes.
He went on to say that he could not accept his parents’ desire to spend less time with them now, even though he was well aware of the short time they had together.
Prior to his death, Ozzy Osbourne battled with his health.
Ozzy talked candidly about his health issues and challenges at the beginning of the documentary, which made it challenging for him to travel long distances. In 2019, the singer was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, which was accompanied by additional serious diseases.
The late singer talked about how he felt fantastic at age 69 and how his health began to deteriorate shortly after turning 70, including his inability to walk far without getting out of breath.
“I used to do an hour on the elliptical a day,” he continued, adding that he was no stranger to staying active and that he used to work out often until becoming unable to continue.
Surrounded by family, Ozzy passed away on July 22 at the age of 76. A week later, he was buried. His death certificate states that in addition to Parkinson’s disease, he also experienced coronary artery disease, autonomic dysfunction, acute myocardial infarction, and cardiac arrest.
Inside the Family Dynamics of the Father of Four
Andy, Minnie, Maple, and Pearl are Jack’s four daughters. He shares the youngest with his current wife, Aree Gearhart, and the first three with his ex-wife, Lisa Stelly. Jack discussed his co-parenting relationship with Stelly in an interview with PEOPLE, stating that it was going great.
He also mentioned certain things he would not do with his own children to illustrate how his parenting approach is different from how his parents reared him. “I feel structure is healthy,” he said, characterizing it as more structured. He also discussed how each child has an own personality and is intriguingly different.
The relationship between Jack’s daughters and their grandparents is active. Pearl’s birth was even witnessed by Sharon, who allegedly called it a transformative event.
As seen by his social media posts featuring photos of his daughters with their grandma, aunt, and grandfather on different occasions, he makes sure the girls spend time with their family.
Jack and his sister, Kelly, stood up for their father.
Roger Waters posted a critical post about the late singer a few weeks after Jack vented to him about his father’s death. He claimed that Roger had grown pathetic and out of touch in a tweet on X.
Additionally, he included some offensive language, implying that Ozzy did not hold Roger in high regard during his lifetime, which was supported by his acts, and that his activities were only an attempt to garner media attention.
A week prior, during an episode of a wrestling show in which Becky was disparaging Ozzy and his birthplace of Birmingham, Kelly had also expressed her sentiments in a since-deleted Instagram story.
