Taylor Swift’s “The Life Of A Showgirl” Sets Spotify Record Ahead of Its Release

Taylor Swift broke her own record for The Tortured Poets Department with over five million pre-saves on Spotify for her album The Life of a Showgirl.

The announcement coincided with the streaming behemoth’s announcement that it will begin displaying artists’ pre-save information in the Top 10 Countdown Pages of the app’s Upcoming Releases section on Wednesdays.

“Countdown Charts give releases that fans are most excited about a whole new level of visibility,” said Madeleine Bennett, an executive at Spotify, in a statement. “The Upcoming Releases hub is about celebrating what’s next in music.”

We’re providing artists with a potent new method to create anticipation and engage with their biggest fans in the run-up to release day by rating the top pre-saved releases worldwide.

In addition, Spotify is hosting a three-day pop-up event in New York City where Swifties may find Easter eggs and more prior to the album’s October 3 release.

On October 3, Taylor’s “dazzling” tale behind her 12th album will be shown in theaters with the release.

Using Instagram to caption a promotional poster for The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, the Shake it Off singer made the following announcement on September 19: “I am inviting you to the Official Release Party of a Showgirl, a *dazzling* party that will be held only in theaters from October 3 to October 5!

“You’ll get to see the brand-new lyric videos from my new album The Life of a Showgirl, the world premiere of the music video for my new single, The Fate of Ophelia, as well as never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it and cut-by-cut explanations of what inspired this music.”

“Looks like you should get rid of that orange cardigan or Eras Tour ensemble. Now, tickets are available for purchase. Dancing is highly encouraged but is not required.

You should verify your local listings because showtimes sometimes change.

In a different video, Taylor talked about The Life of a Showgirl.

The singer of Cruel Summer, who recently became engaged to Travis Kelce, a 35-year-old tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, stated: “The vinyls have a poem inside, a unique poem, more images than we ever planned, and the CDs all have photocards in them.”

“We wanted this album to have an opulent vibe, a nod to the opulence a showgirl dons on stage.”

Additionally, Taylor has started her own SiriusXM channel to promote The Life of a Showgirl, which will air until October 19.

Taylor Swift continues to rule not just the music industry but all facets of pop culture, according to Scott Greenstein, president and chief content officer of SiriusXM.

“We are excited to provide our subscribers with a platform to celebrate their fandom and the new album with the launch of Taylor’s Channel 13. Her chart-topping, award-winning songs speak to listeners of all ages.”

“SiriusXM has gladly backed Taylor’s career from the start and has always defended her artistic abilities.

“Her music from all periods of her illustrious career can be heard on the channel, which is a unique place for fans to connect like never before and celebrate The Life of a Showgirl in a way that is exclusive to SiriusXM.”

In addition to the SiriusXM app, users will be able to access Taylor’s Channel 13 on satellite channel 13.

Thirteen days prior to The Life of a Showgirl’s release, it went live.

From the Vault tracks, deep album cuts, her most well-known singles, and live performances are all shown on the channel.
