Reebok disputes reports that its logo was taken off of Israel’s team shirts
Sports company Reebok refuted allegations in Israeli media reports on Tuesday that it had requested the removal of its emblem from Israel Football Association teams’ shirts.
“Reebok takes pride in our track record of breaking down barriers across cultures both on and off the field. According to a representative who talked to Reuters, “Reebok has not ordered the IFA to remove its logos from its national team kits, as reported in Israeli news outlets.”
We’re going to keep up our brand’s and our local licensee’s dedication to the IFA. We play sports, not politics.
The IFA told Reuters that squad uniforms will still bear the business’s branding during international games.
Puma, a German sportswear manufacturer, discontinued its sponsorship of Israel’s national football team in December 2023, citing a 2022 decision.
