English legends discuss Salah’s recent decline in goal scoring
Great English football players Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer think that Mohamed Salah will do well for Liverpool this season, even though he is having trouble scoring goals regularly.
Overall, Salah’s two goals in six Premier League games are seen as below average considering how good the Egyptian has been over the course of his career.
Some experts, like Lineker and Shearer, say that a change in strategy might help Salah play his best again.
“Do you think Salah is playing a bit wider?” For example, they might be trying to make the game last a little longer. This is what Lineker said on the Rest is Football Podcast, as reported by TBR Football.
Shearer responded, “I don’t know if he’s playing a bit wider, but he doesn’t look as confident, and he’s not the Salah we’re used to yet.”
According to Shearer, it will only be a matter of time before Salah starts to play his best again, while Lineker thinks that his situation will change.
As Shearer put it, “Oh yeah, I mean, it will change, yeah, it’s only a matter of time,” but they are still trying to build a relationship based on mutual respect.
