Bien Releases His “All My Enemies Are Suffering” Hit in Open Verse

Bien has started an open verse challenge of his hit song “All My Enemies Are Suffering,” with an enviable prize for the winner. This comes after Bien’s successful Nairobi stop on his tour and his unexpected cameo on Joshua Baraka’s set at Blankets & Wine.

Everyone in the world is welcome to participate in the challenge, which ends on November 7 and will award the winner $1000, or around KSh 130,000.

The music video for the viral song has received 5.8 million views in just two months, easily making it the album’s biggest hit. Two weeks ago, Bien published a remix with Phyno from Nigeria. He has since intimated that Khaligraph Jones, a rapper from Kenya, would be joining him on a second remix.

In an Open Verse Challenge, fans or participants are asked to record their own verse (singing or rapping) over a blank section of an artist’s track on social media sites like Instagram or TikTok. They then share the recording on these platforms, usually with a specific hashtag.

Open verse challenges, a common trend in popular music, are key to expanding a song’s social media reach and visibility while also encouraging interaction with fans and the music community.
