Diana B’s new song, “Bibi Ya Tajiri,” marks her musical comeback

“Bibi ya Tajiri,” a new song by Diana B, also known as Diana Bahati, was only published a few hours ago. The title of the song, which means “Wife of a Rich Man,” has generated discussion online and is probably a reaction to a connection made on social media between her and socialite Amber Ray, who has also used the same title.

Diana used this public discussion as the major means of promoting the new song, building a lot of expectation that acted as the main teaser.

Diana sings of being more than just a rich man’s wife; she is a strong, successful lady in her own right. She is seen driving expensive cars, hosting a business meeting, and living in an opulent estate in the video. With lyrics about paying her own bills and not relying on others to do it for her, the song highlights her financial independence. In a spoken word segment that closes the music video, she is referred to as “the rich person herself,” and her husband proudly identifies himself as “the husband of the rich woman.”

She appears to be making fun of a few well-known rappers, such as Khaligraph Jones and Jua Cali, in her quest, and as is typical of her, she pulls off a very bold move by calling herself the “best rapper right now.” The late Esir’s well-known hit “Saree” is sampled in “Bibi ya Tajiri,” which she has publicly dedicated to him on social media.
