The rapper Lil Nas X is “very remorseful” over his legal drama, according to his father

The 26-year-old rapper, who has entered a not guilty plea to four crimes, including three charges of violence on police officers, could spend years behind bars for his bare-faced public outburst in Los Angeles.

Robert Stafford, his father, has now informed reporters, including NBC News, that Lil Nas X, whose true name is Montero Lamar Hill, is “very remorseful for what happened” on August 21, the day that he was arrested after police were called to investigate claims that he was seen wandering naked down Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles.

“He’ll get the help he needs, so just keep him in your prayers,” Robert said.

“Give him the same forgiveness and grace that God extends to everyone.”

Robert also mentioned that his son, the vocalist of Old Town Road, is in “good spirits” and that “he’s doing great mentally.”

“We shed tears and we shed laughter, but he’s in great spirits,” he remarked, referring to their emotional talk. He will be excellent.

When Los Angeles police officers noticed Hill acting strangely on Ventura Boulevard early on Thursday, August 21, they took him into custody.

The LAPD claims that he yelled song lyrics, gestured with his hands at passing automobiles, and then charged at officers.

He was arrested completely naked after being initially seen wearing white western boots and underwear.

When Montero retaliated against cops, police informed NBC4 that they had to “use force” to subdue him.

After being thrown to the ground and accused of misdemeanor battery on a police officer, he was taken to the hospital for what the authorities suspected to be a drug overdose.

The rapper was subsequently taken back into custody.

According to records acquired by the Daily Mail, Montero is now facing three counts of battery with injury on a peace officer and one count of resisting an executive officer in a felony complaint filed on Monday, 20 August 25.

The district attorney’s office for Los Angeles County confirmed that he may spend up to five years in state prison if found guilty on all counts.

Montero and his lawyer, Christy O’Connor, showed up at Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday wearing a blue jumpsuit.

He entered a not guilty plea and was granted $75,000 bail.

Following his arrest for violence, the musician spent more than three days in jail before being released on bail. On Monday, he was spotted leaving a courthouse in the Los Angeles region.

If he were granted bond, TMZ has reported that he would have to abstain from illegal drugs and enroll in an outpatient treatment.

Nathan J. Hochman, the district attorney for Los Angeles County, stated in a statement that attacking police officers is a violation of the law and a clear danger to public safety.

“Anyone who attacks law enforcement, regardless of their identity or level of fame, will face severe consequences.”
