Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson are being sued for $20 million by a viral Usher concertgoer: report
It is said that the woman is suing for “false and defamatory statements.”
A woman who became famous after going to an Usher show has sued Shannon Sharpe for what he said on the video. Jimalita Tillman has sued Sharpe, his Nightcap co-host Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson, and Shay Shay Media, the company that makes the podcast, for “false and defamatory statements.” The two men say her husband filed for divorce after she and Usher had a steamy moment on camera during his tour earlier this year, which is what The U.S. Sun exclusively reported. This is why she is trying to get $20 million in damages.
The lawsuit said, “On April 2, 2025, I took part in a fan engagement moment at an Usher Raymond concert, where I interacted with the artist as a chosen audience member.” “After this event, the defendants spread false and defamatory information saying that I was married and that my husband was filing for divorce because I was in this audience experience. I am not married and I am not going through a divorce right now.”
The lawsuit went on to say, “I wasn’t married at the time of the fan participation moment at the Usher concert.” It also said, “The defendants’ false narratives were widely shared across their platforms, reaching millions of followers, going viral, and efforts to refute them, despite my clear and public reputation of the false narrative.”
Tillman also said, “I made many attempts to contact the defendants to ask them to remove this false narrative, but their requests were ignored.”
The lawsuit said, “The ongoing false information has caused the plaintiff emotional distress, harmed her reputation, and harmed her personal and professional relationships.”
According to the lawsuit, Tillman has already spoken out against the false stories that spread about her time in the press.
“That is not true at all.” Tillman said at the time, “I am single.” “I am a retired homeschool mom who wants to promote the arts in this country and abroad.” I’m not with anyone. “Give me a jingle, you got a cherry.”
When he came around with those cherries, she said, “Well, life is a bowl of cherries; I’ll take one or two.”
VIBE has asked both Sharpe and Ocho Cinco’s lawyers for a comment about the lawsuit that is still going on.
