Wesley LePatner, a Blackstone executive, was shot and killed on Park Avenue

Blackstone senior executive Wesley LePatner was shot and killed in a startling Park Avenue incident on Sunday morning.

One of its senior executives, Wesley LePatner, was killed in a sad shooting event on Park Avenue, according to confirmation from the investment giant Blackstone.

In a statement issued by the business, Blackstone said it was very saddened by the loss and called LePatner “a beloved member of the Blackstone family” who “will be sorely missed.”

“She was highly regarded both inside and outside of our company. She was intelligent, enthusiastic, kind, and giving. “She was the epitome of Blackstone,” the statement read.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband, children, and family,” the firm said in its condolence message to LePatner’s family. The deaths of the other innocent victims, especially the courageous security guards and the NYPD, also grieve us.

Although more information about the shooting’s circumstances was not immediately available, the incident happened close to Blackstone’s office at 345 Park Avenue.

The deadly shooting is still being investigated by law authorities.
