Trump Says America Will Open Food Centers in Gaza During the Starvation Crisis

Trump claims that the US will establish food centers in Gaza as 14 people perish from malnutrition.

According to US President Donald Trump, the war-torn enclave of Gaza is experiencing “real starvation,” hence the US has promised to set up food centers there.

During a trip to the UK, Trump stated that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza had gotten out of hand and that urgent action was needed.

He informed reporters that “we are going to set up food centers there because there is real starvation happening in Gaza.”

He made these comments after Gaza’s health ministry, which is managed by Hamas, revealed that 14 people had died from starvation in the last 24 hours alone, highlighting the increasing despair of civilians stranded by months of fighting.

Trump also alluded to the possibility of “alternative” preparations in the event that Hamas is unable to free the remaining Israeli detainees. While he did not go into detail about these plans, he did stress that the United States was ready to take immediate action.

To alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe, Israel has started to halt military operations in a few areas of Gaza for ten hours every day so that aid can be delivered. Furthermore, Israel has allowed the airdrop of humanitarian aid over the enclave.

Two of the most well-known human rights organizations in Israel have charged the government with carrying out genocide in Gaza. According to the organizations, Israeli military operations and policies have destroyed Gaza’s infrastructure and unfairly targeted civilians? The Israeli government has maintained that its operations are only intended to dismantle Hamas and has continually refuted any claims of genocide.
