Mumbi Maina, Otile Brown’s manager, resigns and sends her best wishes
Mumbi, the manager of singer Otile Brown, resigned shortly after taking over her role, according to a press release announcing the change.
“Working with Otile has been a journey I’ll always be proud of – full of growth, creativity, and unforgettable moments,” she wrote on social media. I am still incredibly appreciative of his faith in me, as well as the amazing support from partners, fans, and everyone else involved in this chapter.
Like any creative endeavor, there comes a point at which things just happen. I feel that now is the ideal moment to stand back and provide room for fresh direction for Otile and myself, as well as for my own tranquility, purpose, and professional development. Respect and understanding amongst the parties have gone into this decision. As Otile writes the next chapter of his journey, I’m still sending him my best wishes,” she added.
Following the separation of Brown’s longtime manager Noreaga from the “Aiyana” singer, Mumbi assumed control of Brown’s management. Bien, Brown’s adversary, appeared to respond to the news by posting a headline and adding his song “All My Enemies Are Suffering” as the music. In a series of posts, Brown retaliated, denouncing his rival and implying that he was pursuing influence.
“You win with grace. constantly want to be noticed, leaving a remark on each blog entry.
Dress nicely so that you may be seen by the kishamba. Apo hakuna genuineness.
He made fun of Bien’s mannerisms, charged that he was acting in an unsubstantial “international” manner, and claimed that Kenyans only backed him because of his popularity rather than his skill.
“My sss is international. Hamniwezi mimi narudia. Grammy mi siwatambui ata mukiwin.
For what purpose do you sitambui iyo ng’o? “Ni mnafki mkubwa.” Read the acerbic retorts.
