Dr. Umar wants help after hackers tried to break into his bank accounts and frozen them

The Prince of Pan-Africanism claims he has no financial resources and that supporters must step in.

This week, Dr. Umar Johnson—who is widely regarded as the vocal “Prince of Pan-Africanism”—pleaded on social media that he needs assistance because he is broke.

Following claimed hacking efforts, his FDMG Academy account and personal bank account were both frozen, he stated in his video statement. He is unable to access any funds, not even a digital cent, due to the financial lockdown.

All of his money is normally kept in his personal bank account, according to Umar, who only moves money to PayPal or Apple Pay when absolutely necessary. However, following several attempts at breach, his bank closed operations. He is currently unable to obtain money for himself or the maintenance of the Frederick Douglass & Marcus Garvey Academy, his educational institution.

He stressed that he has never in his life begged for money from anyone, adding that he has always raised money exclusively for the FDMG Academy and never for personal expenses. However, he claims that this time, he has no other option.

According to Umar, the bank has not provided a clear schedule for when access would be restored, and as a result, important expenses like internet and electricity for the academy are in danger of going unpaid. Supporters are being asked to donate via PayPal at https://paypal.me/UmarThePsychologist or Apple Pay on his cell phone at 215-989-9858.

Despite the crisis, Dr. Umar is steadfast in his purpose, referring to it as a passing storm in the greater struggle for educational fairness for Black males.
