From Skits To Stacks: Mulamwah Shows Off Her Huge Facebook Payday

Mulamwah, a comedian and content creator from Kenya, is having a great time!

The social media star proudly posted photos of his most recent Facebook earnings in a recent Instagram story, showing that he received over KES 774,000 (about $8,844 USD) in payouts over a 28-day period.

His revenues from June 19 to July 16 were an incredible $8,844.78 USD, as seen in the first screenshot, which provided a glance into his Facebook monetization dashboard. His monetization efforts suddenly and significantly increased, as evidenced by this data, which represented a startling 4,000% rise from the previous 28-day period. He added, “Facebook finally paying, last month made 8,844 USD,” with obvious delight.

In the second screenshot he posted, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited confirmed a KES 774,021.46 deposit through a bank transaction. Mulamwah captioned the transaction in a combination of Swahili and English, saying, “meta doing de ting.” Knowing exactly what you are doing is ujanja ni kukaa mjinga tu.

Mulamwah is a former nurse who is now a performer. His true name is David Oyando. His humorous comedic performances and viral films that speak to Kenyans’ everyday lives helped him gain notoriety.

In addition to celebrating a personal victory, many other content creators, particularly in Kenya and around Africa, find inspiration in these pieces. Creators can now make real money doing what they love thanks to features like business collaborations, in-stream advertisements, Reels bonuses, and fan stars during live streams.
