Conte to remove Osimhen from the Napoli Training

Manager Antonio Conte is anticipated to deny Victor Osimhen access to first-team training when he returned to Napoli following the expiration of his loan at Galatasaray.

According to Turkish publication Fotomac, Conte would not allow Osimhen to train with the first team since the 26-year-old is not considered a long-term project for the team.

The source claims that Osimhen “is preparing to return to Napoli for pre-season training after his loan contract with the Turks ended,” but he will not be included in the starting lineup when he gets there.

This occurs as Manchester United is keen to bolster their attack ahead of the forthcoming season, and Ruben Amorim’s club is apparently in “the driving seat” for the striker.

The Red Devils have made repeated references to Osimhen as they look to strengthen their offensive line.

The Nigerian international is reportedly interested in signing with a number of clubs, but his future is still uncertain.

Galatasaray, Juventus, and other English clubs are apparently vying for his services, but he hasn’t made up his mind about his future move yet.

One of his staunchest supporters, Galatasaray, reportedly given him till yesterday to commit to their plans.

The Turkish champions are keen to retain the striker following his fantastic loan spell in Istanbul. The situation has become more challenging due to differing views of Osimhen’s transfer value.

Although some reports claim that his €75 million release clause will expire later this month, others claim that his price would actually increase over the current asking price if he and interested parties continue to drag out negotiations into mid-July.

The striker has already rejected a hefty offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal. The Pro League giants reportedly proposed a contract worth an astounding €50 million a season.

Transfer market expert Armando Areniello described Al Hilal’s offer as a “monstrous bid” that may make the difference, estimating that it could amount up to €160 million over three years.

“Never has Victor Osimhen been this close to leaving Napoli.” According to ArenaNapoli, Areniello stated that Al-Hilal’s most recent outrageous offer of €50 million per season for the player might be the deciding factor.

“Talks with the Azzurri are in progress. An amount of between €60 and €65 million might be agreed upon.

Despite the Saudi interest, Osimhen has always said that he would want to continue playing football in Europe.

The Premier League has been heralded as his most likely destination, with Manchester United leading the English club competition.

Chelsea has already spoken with the player, although Arsenal has not yet made a concrete offer.

Valter De Maggio claims that Liverpool was also reportedly considering a player swap including Federico Chiesa and Darwin Nunez, but Napoli rejected the Premier League winners’ first proposal for a “equal exchange.”

The 26-year-old was instrumental in Galatasaray’s domestic double the previous season, scoring 37 goals and dishing out eight assists in 41 games across all competitions.

His accomplishments demonstrated his consistent superiority at the greatest level and reignited interest from top European teams. Napoli’s preseason is expected to begin on July 14, and medical examinations are scheduled for July 14–15.

Training sessions are planned for July 17–27 in Dimaro, Trentino Alto Adige, prior to the start of preparations at Castel Di Sangro from July 30 to August 14.
