CAF Accepts August 4 Stadium for International Games After Four Years

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has formally restored the August 4 Stadium in Ouagadougou for international competition, giving Burkina Faso a significant boost ahead of forthcoming international matches.

Due to issues with its infrastructure and facilities, the renowned arena had been closed for the previous four years, forcing the Burkinabè national team to play their home games at other stadiums throughout the region.

Following extensive renovations to bring the stadium up to code, including upgrades to the pitch, seats, lighting, and security systems, CAF made their decision.

To the joy of players, officials, and supporters alike, the news suggests that the Burkina Faso national team may finally return to their favorite home field as early as the upcoming international break.

Given the fervent support the Stallions usually receive in Ouagadougou, a return to the August 4 Stadium is anticipated to offer them a sizable home edge.
