Nelly and Ashanti Release the Trailer for Their Rekindled Romance Reality Show, “We Belong Together”

The love story of Nelly and Ashanti will be brought to Peacock on June 26.

In terms of turning the corner, Nelly and Ashanti have completely changed their ways. Now, the world will witness their ridiculous devotion on television.

Peacock will debut Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, an eight-episode series that will follow their new relationship and their life as parents to their son, Kareem Kenkaide, on June 26. The show appears to be giving the couple’s fans what they want and more after they have been pleading for an inside peek at their second shot at love.

According to an official synopsis of the show, “Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together follows the electrifying journey of this beloved couple as they revitalise their love, navigate the ups and downs of newlywed life, and the challenges of parenthood while juggling their thriving careers.” Can this irrepressible pair demonstrate that their love is enough to overcome everything? An enjoyable investigation of second chances in love. 

In the teaser, the couple opens up about their animosity after their “final” split in 2013. Ashanti acknowledged that they “hated” each other and stated she never imagined they would be together. 

“I didn’t think we would reconcile,” she remarked. We’ve developed. We’re grownups.

Following the global embrace, Nelly and Ashanti are still going strong and appear to be happy than ever, but they still have to deal with the difficulties of being a newlywed couple. They are seen in the video discussing difficult issues such as their parenting approaches, individual career choices, and where they will live. Nelly is also the father of Sydney Thomas and Shawn, the children of his late sister, whom he adopted in 2005, as well as Cornell and Chanelle, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend Channetta Valentine. But the singer of “Foolish” acknowledges that having their first boy together makes her “a bit frantic.”

Although their son makes multiple appearances throughout the teaser, there is no word on whether his face will be made public for the Peacock cameras. His big reveal and some commentary on the Trump rally appearance might be featured on the episode.

Both Ashanti and Nelly have been busy in the interim. alongside dates extending until mid-September, the “Country Grammar” rapper is leading an international tour alongside Eve, Ja Rule, Fabulous, and Chingy. Meanwhile, his singer wife is performing in a few locations with Lil Kim, Lloyd, and Mya. They also never pass up a chance to discuss one another. Nelly discussed how Ashanti and their son are now in the picture and how he has fallen to last place in his household during a sit-down on Big Boy’s Neighborhood. 

He remarked, “I’ve been reduced to third place in my house when you’re rocking with a diva.” First it’s KK, then she, and then me. People only ask, “Where’s Ashanti?” and don’t give a damn about me. Since the infant is nonverbal and I have sold more records than she has, I’m asking, “Where is Nelly?” Everyone says, “Where is your wife? She’s so beautiful,” and no one wants to talk to me. I’m aware of that! Why do you believe that I wed her?
