Mbeumo is now on the Spurs’ desire list
Bryan Mbeumo, a striker for Brentford, has shown interest in joining Tottenham Hotspur.
Thomas Frank, the 25-year-old’s former Brentford manager, is reportedly joining Spurs in the competition to sign the striker after switching to Spurs on Thursday.
Since joining The Bees in 2019 as a club record signing from French second-tier team Troyes, Mbeumo has played under Frank.
According to BBC Sport, Brentford decided that Manchester United’s £55 million offer for the Cameroonian international was not worth Mbeumo’s worth.
With one year remaining on his current deal, Mbeumo has drawn interest from other Champions League clubs, according to the BBC, although Tottenham has yet to make an official offer for the player.
This past season, Mbeumo participated in all 38 Premier League games for Brentford, contributing seven assists and 20 goals. During the 2024–2025 season, the Cameroonian scored the fourth most goals in the league.
The striker, who was born in France, changed allegiance and played for Cameroon in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
