Real Madrid and French Fashion Brand Louis Vuitton Announce Partnership
The French fashion house, which last year signed Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for the team, as a brand ambassador, will clothe the players for important trips and occasions. Pharrell Williams, creative director of menswear, will develop the looks.
Louis Vuitton chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari told WWD: “It’s football royalty meets luxury royalty.”
Because Real Madrid is a historical team and football is eventually the most popular sport in the world. Being the world leader, Louis Vuitton exudes an aura that is equally as powerful. I believe it to be a genuine and ideal marriage.
Real Madrid believes their philosophy fits in well with Louis Vuitton’s, and the brand was predicted to replace Zegna as the official off-field outfit provider.
The director of institutional relations of Real Madrid, Emilio Butragueño, stated in a statement: “At Real Madrid, we relentlessly pursue excellence as the path to remain at the top.” It is the same idea that makes Louis Vuitton one of the most recognizable brands in the premium market.
“In addition to sharing the duty of leaving a legacy, we both have succeeded in transcending time and have the shared goal of inspiring people worldwide, regardless of our specialized fields.”
Regarding the collaboration, Pietro added: “Louis Vuitton and our ongoing emphasis on sports are a perfect match for this partnership. As we like to say, “Louis Vuitton is the vehicle of victory.”
Since 2010, Louis Vuitton has designed the trunk for the World Cup winner’s trophy. They have also produced carriers for major sporting awards like as the America’s Cup, the Olympic medals and torches in Paris in 2024, the Rugby World Cup, the NBA Championship trophy, and the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Monaco reward.
The collaboration with the Spanish team, Pietro said, marked the beginning of a new era for both Louis Vuitton and sports.
