Newcastle wants to sign another African star after “missing” Mbeumo
Mohammed Kudus, an attacker for West Ham United, appears to have caught Newcastle United’s attention after it was disclosed that Bryan Mbeumo would rather join Manchester United.
Mbeumo, who dominated the Premier League the previous season, was to face off against United and Newcastle in a match that recently made headlines in the English football media.
The Cameroon star chose to sign with United instead, but according to football journalist Pete O’Rourke, Newcastle is now interested in signing Kudus.
He is undoubtedly someone Newcastle has on their list. The research for this right-wing forward they wish to bring in has been a topic of discussion for a long time. Tell Football Insider, Rourke said.
Kudus, who is clearly left-footed and inverted, would be a good fit for that one. He can both create and score goals. I believe that Newcastle would suffer a great loss if they were unable to acquire Mbeumo, who was Eddie Howe’s main target.
However, as Mbeumo appears to have preferred Old Trafford to St. James’ Park, they will need to go down their lists to see if they can add anyone else.
