China will send Vice Premier He Lifeng to the United States for trade negotiations

Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng will go to the United Kingdom from June 8 to June 13, according to a statement released by China’s foreign ministry on Saturday.

According to the ministry, this visit would include the inaugural meeting of the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism with the United States.

During the initial round of trade negotiations in May, he led the Chinese side. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will represent Washington in the negotiations, according to a statement made by President Donald Trump on Friday.
