Kizz Daniel, a Nigerian artist, puts all of his heart into his new EP, Lemon Chase

Afrobeats titan Kizz Daniel makes a comeback with Lemon Chase, a seven-track EP that does more than just tease his eagerly awaited Uncle K album.

Wrapped in his signature catchy rhythms, this new body of work is a very intimate gift that explores a range of emotions, from love and heartbreak to inner serenity and unadulterated delight.

A chapter in Kizz Daniel’s emotional journal is represented by each song on Lemon Chase. The voyage starts with “Black Girl Magic” and ends with the poignant conclusion “Police,” a beautiful collaboration with five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo and Johnny Drille of Mavin Records. The singer-songwriter creates a soundscape with every song that appeals to listeners on several levels, providing both auditory enjoyment and poignant narrative.

Kizz Daniel has put together a diverse and outstanding group of artists that contribute their unique skills to the EP. Zlatan, Odumodu Blvck, and Bella Shmurda bring raw street energy, and Fola, who worked with him on earlier successes like “Lost,” adds emotional depth. The exceptional collaboration between Johnny Drille and Angelique Kidjo on “Police” reflects the depth and variety of the project by fusing storytelling, tradition, and soul into a timeless composition.

Kizz Daniel relies on dependable producers that have previously assisted him in creating singles that have reached the top of the charts for production. Bando, Ayzed, Magic Sticks, Blaise Beatz, and Reward Beatz all add to the EP’s colorful soundscape.

“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it,” says Kizz Daniel in an interview with Lemon Chase. I wanted my project to have the sweetness, sourness, confusion, and beauty of real life. This is heartfelt music for times of healing, hope, or remembrance. All I wanted was for it to be genuine, honest, and true to who I am.

Not only does this EP introduce Uncle K, but it also serves as a reminder of why Kizz Daniel is one of the most captivating voices in Afrobeats today.
