Damien Comolli is named the new general manager of Juventus

Damien Comolli has been named the new general manager of Juventus, with effect from June 4.

Having held important positions at teams like Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Fenerbahce, and most recently, Toulouse, the French executive has over 30 years of expertise in European football. Comolli proved his abilities in both athletics and strategic management in Toulouse, when he guided the team to promotion to Ligue 1 and a Cup de France title.

Comolli will be in charge of the Men’s Football Area, Marketing, and Commercial Departments in his new position at Juventus. The CEO, Maurizio Scanavino, will get his direct reports. With former sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli leaving after two seasons in Turin, the appointment is a part of a larger reorganization of Juventus’ management.

As the team looks to improve its standing in both domestic and international competitions, Comolli’s time at Juventus is anticipated to be crucial. It is expected that his vast experience in football operations and data-driven decision-making will impact Juventus’ upcoming plans and achievements.
