Jackie Chan, an action star, explains how a karate kid prevented him from “giving up”

Jackie Chan planned to “give up” on his acting career until he saw “Rocky” and “Karate Kid.”

The 71-year-old cinema icon, who plays kung fu coach Mr. Han in the upcoming film “Karate Kid: Legends,” has talked about how the 1984 original motivated him to pursue his own Hollywood goals.

“This year, I’m 64 years in the film industry,” he said to Extra.

“I recall that action movies were not as popular at the time I worked as a stuntman. We are unsure about what to do. I make an effort to give up.

When the “Karate Kid” came around, I went with a few buddies, we bought tickets, and we went to see it. And I think, “I should not give up,” when I see the positive message and the spirit. I get back up after being knocked down by life.

After that, I return to training. “Rocky” is another upcoming film. Then I saw “Eye of the Tiger,” “Rocky,” and, whoa! And immediately bursting with vitality.

He was concentrating on his dojo training at the time, but a director noticed his moves and told him to make a major move right away.

He remembered: “You’re an actor.” Fortunately, I persevered. I continue to train. That brightens my day.

Jackie, the actor from “Rush Hour,” turned 71 in April, but he has no intention of slowing down. He has stated that he would continue to conduct his own stunts and has no plans to retire.

“Of course, I always do my own stunts,” Jackie revealed in an interview with Haute Living magazine. That’s who I am. Until the day I retire, which will never come, that won’t change!

Jackie is renowned for her inventive and acrobatic feats. However, Jackie doesn’t need much training for his action scenes at this point in his career.

The movie actor clarified: “There is no longer any physical preparation after 64 years of continuous practice. Your heart and spirit contain everything; it’s muscle memory.
Jackie pointed out that the film industry has also altered as a result of technical advancements.
