R&B artist Jaheim was arrested and accused of animal cruelty

Fulton County records show that he was arrested and then let go earlier this month.

Jaheim, an R&B singer, was arrested and later freed earlier this month on charges that he mistreated his pets. According to records from Fulton County Jail, the “Finding My Way Back” singer was arrested and freed the next day after being charged with six counts of animal cruelty.

Local news station WSB-TV2 Atlanta says the 47-year-old, whose real name is Jaheim Hoagland, didn’t give his dogs enough water, clean living conditions, or air flow. He is said to have a French bulldog, four pit bull terriers, and a hound mix.

People have said this about the singer before, saying that she hurts animals. A few years ago, Hoagland was charged with the same things in New Jersey.

ESSENCE says that he was arrested in September 2021 for allegedly refusing to feed and caring for 15 dogs, one of which died. At the time, he was charged with third-degree animal abuse and failing to give an animal the care it needed after poor-health animals were found in and around his home.

According to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson at the time, responding Hillsborough Patrol units searched the area and found six dogs in crates in the yard of a Chamberlain Drive home. “One of the dogs that was found was initially unresponsive in a crate full of water and had to be put down.” Another group of dogs was discovered in different crates that were partly filled with water and dog poop.

The statement went on to say, “Another nine dogs were found inside the residence in varying stages of emaciation and without access to food and water.”

Struggle Love, which came out in 2016, is Jaheim’s most recent release.

He told You Know I Got Soul, “It’s an idea on the album Struggle Love.”

“That’s what it’s called because I see my life as a mirror of problems.” There have been many ups and downs during those hard times. You have trouble with the things you love and like to do. You can see it in how other people understand it. A lot of different people are writing to us.
