The paparazzi documented the unfolding drama within the Macron family as the couple arrived in Vietnam on their aircraft on Sunday, May 25. A disagreement seemed to have occurred before they disembarked from the plane, as a viral video on X captured the alleged dispute.

In the clip, Emmanuel was visibly pushed back as his wife confronted him, shoving him in the face while reporters looked on. She pushed her beau with both hands, targeting his mouth as if to silence him. Brigitte remained partially out of view, yet her hands and the sleeve of her red jacket were captured in the video.

The President of France initially seemed stunned by the impact before swiftly transitioning into politician mode. He smiled and waved at the onlookers, feigning indifference to the events that had transpired. 

TMZ reported that Emmanuel and Brigitte stepped off shortly after this moment, appearing composed as they were welcomed by the Vietnamese.

The politician’s camp initially refuted the incident.

The video showing Emmanuel and Brigitte’s rumored disagreement might not have attracted as much attention if the politician’s team hadn’t refuted the incident. They first asserted that the president was not shoved in the face, but then completely reversed their stance when confronted with evidence.

An aide asserted that it was a trivial disagreement between the couple, reflecting the views of a French official who characterized it as the pair sharing a light moment before embarking on their official responsibilities. 

Some individuals from Emmanuel’s camp characterized the incident as a “moment of closeness,” yet social media users are expressing skepticism regarding these assertions. These critics expressed their theories on X, with one individual observing that Brigitte’s actions lacked both humor and affection. 

Domestic violence is unacceptable, regardless of the source. They argued, “I firmly believe that what you observe in public is significantly more troubling in private.”

Brigitte Macron Criticized For Allegedly Mistreating Her Husband

The discussions surrounding domestic violence theories persisted, as another X user reiterated the purported allegations of Brigitte mistreating her husband. This person seated her at the same table as former first lady Jill Biden, inquiring, “Why are liberal women so harsh toward their husbands?”

One individual concurred, stating, “Brigitte Macron is 25 years older than Emmanuel Macron… all she requires is for him to take a bath and a reprimand if he doesn’t comply.” A growing number of social media users criticized Brigitte as “toxic,” with some asserting that she showed no respect for her husband.

Numerous supporters stood by Emmanuel, emphasizing that he was undeserving of such severe treatment from his wife. If the roles were reversed and a husband abused a female president, the world would be in an uproar. Toxic relationships are unacceptable—regardless of who you are! There was a debate.

In June 2021, the President of France gained widespread attention after a confrontation in Tain-l’Hermitage near the city of Valence. A video of the incident depicted Emmanuel, wearing a black nose mask, sprinting towards a barrier to engage with the individuals behind it.

A man wearing a green t-shirt and a blue nose mask reached out and grabbed Emmanuel’s arm to catch his attention. As the politician approached, the individual seized the moment to deliver a blow to his face. Even though security quickly intervened to separate the two, the harm had already occurred.

The BBC reported that the assailant exclaimed “Down with Macron-ism” as he struck Emmanuel. Furthermore, the man invoked the banner of King Charlemagne by shouting “Montjoie, Saint-Denis,” the battle cry of the ancient Kingdom of France. 

It was reported by the French media that two men were subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.

Critics Organized A Poop Protest Against Emmanuel Macron’s Seine Dive

When he wasn’t facing slaps to the face, the President of France took the risk of swimming in waste. In June, The Blast reported that criticisms directed at Emmanuel had surged during the Paris Olympics due to worries regarding the cleanliness of the Seine River.

Following France’s hosting of the games last year, a commitment of $1.5 billion was made to enhance the cleanliness of the Seine for swimming competitions. Regrettably, the citizens lacked faith that their endeavors would produce favorable outcomes and organized the “Je Chie Dans La Seine Le 23 Juin” movement, which translates to “I poop in the Seine on June 23.”

The viral threats to defecate in the Seine saw numerous individuals organizing to release their waste into the river as a means to sway Emmanuel’s decision. The politician promised to swim in the Seine with Mayor Anne Hidalgo before the competition began, aiming to demonstrate that the river was clean enough for the Olympics.
