No charges will be brought against the woman who claimed to have accidentally shot her boyfriend while cleaning a gun after the club

There will be no charges brought against the woman who shot and killed 30-year-old Telvin Osborne in Waynesboro, Georgia.

District Attorney Jared Williams formally declared Hannah Cobb not guilty after a Burke County grand jury issued a “no bill” against her on April 24. He declared, “The case is closed as the Grand Jury has spoken.”

In February, Cobb was taken into custody on initial charges of involuntary manslaughter. When her gun went off, she told 911 she was “cleaning” it. However, Sheriff Alfonzo Williams raised questions right away by claiming that alcohol was a factor and that there was no evidence of an accident.

New information surfaced at her court appearance. Osborne and Cobb had a tumultuous relationship that was characterized by claimed abuse and disputes. They had been clubbing in Augusta on the night of the shooting. Cobb claimed that after an argument, she locked herself in the toilet and he drew a knife. She fired one shot at him when he broke in.

Cobb’s friends supported her allegations, and she even provided Ring camera footage and the location of the 8-inch knife that Osborne is accused of using to threaten her. That evening, Osborne texted Cobb, saying, “You’d better hide.”

When the cops arrived, Cobb had already called them and was pressing the wound. At the hospital, Osborne passed away.

Following reports of disturbance on social media, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office is on high alert.

They said, “We acknowledge that this result may be distressing, but we implore everyone to abstain from any actions that could further damage our community.”

Waynesboro is divided over the case, regardless of whether justice was served or not.
