Simba will have a difficult time in the CAFCC final
Fadlu Davids and his team will be hoping to bounce back from last week’s 2-0 loss to RSB Berkane in the first leg of the 2025 CAF Confederations Cup final when they play each other in the second leg on Sunday afternoon at the Amaan Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 PM CAT.
Mamadou Camara and Oussama Lamlaoui’s goals gave RSB Berkane a lead going into the second leg, but Davids thought his team was “overwhelmed” by the job.
“We were tactically prepared, but not emotionally prepared, my players were a little bit overwhelmed by the occasion, by the pressure,” Davids stated during the press conference following the first leg. “Berkane at home scores a lot of goals in the first 20 minutes with the pressure,” he remarked.
Although Simba must score in order to win the CAF Confederations Cup, RSB Berkane coach Mouin Chaâbani stated that his team will try for an away goal to complete the victory.
“Winning the final 2-0 is never entirely effortless. This is the first leg, and in the return leg, we will have to fight for our chances right up until the very end. We must remember that scoring an away goal can have a significant impact, Chaâbani stated.
Nevertheless, a brand-new trophy will be given to the winners of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup showcase.
