Joseph Biden Diagnosed with Advanced Prostate Cancer

The office of former US President Joe Biden reported that Biden had been diagnosed with severe prostate cancer that had spread to his bones.

An aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones has been identified in former US President Joe Biden, his personal office announced in a statement on Sunday.

After his urinary symptoms worsened, the 82-year-old former president, who was in office from 2021 to 2025, sought medical help last week. An additional prostate nodule was discovered during follow-up exams. 

Friday’s test revealed the presence of prostate cancer, which was classified as Grade Group 5 (a high-grade, rapidly developing form of the disease) with a Gleason score of 9.

“Even though this is a more severe form of the disease, the cancer seems to be hormone-sensitive, which makes treatment possible.”

Biden’s medical staff is currently conferring with his family to decide on the best course of action for his future treatment.
