Kagame meets with the presidents of Ivory Coast and Mauritius
Presidents Alassane Ouattara of Côté d’Ivoire and Mohamed Ould Ghazouani of Mauritania had bilateral talks with President Paul Kagame on Monday, May 12.
In Abidjan, Côté d’Ivoire, the leaders convened at the Africa CEO Forum.

With the topic “Africa in a Transactional World: Can a New Deal between State and Private Sector Deliver the Continent a Winning Hand?” the annual event kicked up Monday and brought together over 2,000 policymakers, investors, and business leaders from both Africa and beyond.
In order to discuss measures to further strengthen the mutually advantageous bilateral relations between Rwanda and Mauritania and Côté d’Ivoire, respectively, Kagame met with each Head of State, according to the Office of the President.
In 2022, Rwanda and Mauritania signed a cooperation agreement that broadens their fields of cooperation, including mining, agriculture, aviation, ICT and digitalization, defense and security, and investment promotion.
Conversely, Rwanda and Côté d’Ivoire have a long history of bilateral collaboration in a variety of fields, such as peace and security, knowledge sharing, and more.
