Kendrick Lamar Leads the Nominations at the 2025 BET Awards

The rap mogul has outperformed his competitor Drake with ten nominations at the ceremony honoring Black success in athletics, music, movies, and television.

GNX won Album of the Year, “Not Like Us” won Video of the Year, and Kendrick is nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist.

With “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U,” Drake will compete against his bitter rival for Album of the Year.

Both GloRilla and Doechii have six nods.

The Weeknd received four nominations, as did SZA.

Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Ayra Starr, Tyler the Creator, Teddy Swims, Playboi Carti, and Maverick City Music each have three.

The Los Angeles Peacock Theater will host the 2025 BET Awards on June 9.

Additionally, with ten nominations, Kendrick Lamar topped the 2025 American Music Awards.

To further hurt his adversary, the rap megastar’s 2024 album “GNX” is nominated for Album of the Year, and his Drake hate track “Not Like Us” is nominated for Song of the Year. Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Post Malone, and Chappell Roan are among the artists that K Dot will compete against for Artist of the Year.

On May 26, proceedings will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez in Las Vegas.
