Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly interested in Juan Hernandez of Barcelona

Chelsea and Manchester United have been keeping a careful eye on Barcelona’s developing star, Juan Hernandez Torres, during the current campaign, according to Sky Sports. The two Premier League clubs are considering whether to exercise the £5 million (€6 million) buyout clause for the Spain U19 player, who will turn 18 in July.

As an offensive midfielder, Hernandez has contributed to Barcelona’s UEFA Youth Cup victory, scoring two goals, including the game-winning goal against AZ Alkmaar in the semi-final. His performances have elevated him to the status of one of Europe’s most promising young stars.

Hernandez is now firmly on Chelsea’s and Manchester United’s radar as they both have a strategy centered on obtaining some of the world’s top up-and-coming players. A loan transfer to Strasbourg, their sister club in France, might be part of Chelsea’s development strategy for the young player.

In order to acquire the brilliant midfield player for the future, both clubs will need to decide whether to pursue the deal in the coming months.
