Salah wins the Football Writers’ Association’s award for the third time

Mohamed Salah has received the honor of being named the Football Writers’ Association’s (FWA) men’s player of the season.

Salah not only contributed to Liverpool’s Premier League victory but also set a record for the most goal involvements in a single 38-game season, netting 28 goals and providing 18 assists.

The Egyptian also netted three goals and provided four assists, aiding Liverpool in reaching the Champions League round of 16.

Salah achieved the largest margin of victory this century, garnering 90% of the votes from over 900 FWA members.

Alexander Isak, a striker for Newcastle, secured third place, while Declan Rice, a midfielder for Arsenal, took fourth. Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk claimed the second position.

Salah is the third player to receive this honor, following in the footsteps of Thierry Henry.
