Chelsea’s youngest Premier League team makes history
Chelsea has not used a player older than 27 in a Premier League game for 34 straight games this season, setting a new record.
The Blues, led by coach Enzo Maresca, have assembled a youthful squad; Marcus Bettinelli, their oldest player and third-choice goalkeeper, last played for the team four seasons ago.
Maresca has relied heavily on Chelsea’s youthful potential, as evidenced by Bettinelli’s absence from his regular schedule at the age of 32.
Chelsea’s youthful strategy has paid off, as the team is now in fourth place in the Premier League and almost ready to advance to the Conference League final.
Chelsea has a bright future thanks to this record-breaking streak, which also highlights Maresca’s dedication to nurturing the team’s young players.
