Son of Falcons Defensive Coordinator Identified as Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Day Prank Caller

When Shedeur Sanders was prank-called live on his Twitch feed during the NFL Draft, his night took an odd turn, and the person responsible has since come forward.

The son of former Jets coach and Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, Jax Ulbrich, acknowledged making the call and expressed regret, describing it as a “tremendous mistake.” Jax responded in a statement, “What I did was horrible, embarrassing, and totally unacceptable, Shedeur. I really apologize for interrupting your moment; it was egotistical and immature.

Jax, 21, obtained Sanders’ number “from an open iPad while visiting his parents’ home and wrote the number down to later conduct a prank call,” according to the Falcons. The team made it clear that Jeff Ulbrich was unaware of the occurrence and only found out about it later.

Jax told Sanders, “It’s been a long wait, man,” while posing as Mickey Loomis, the general manager of the Saints. You’ll have to wait a little while longer, but we’ll take you with our next pick, dude. I apologize for it.

The Falcons released a statement condemning Jax’s behavior.

“The Atlanta Falcons sincerely apologize to Shedeur Sanders and his family for this behavior, which we do not support.” Additionally, they stated that they are examining procedures to stop similar accidents in the future.

Sanders maintained his composure in spite of the prank. “It is what it is. It is obviously childish, but everyone engages in infantile behavior occasionally,” he remarked.
