The Kremlin said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared a short-term truce in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
The Kremlin’s official Telegram channel was used to announce the ceasefire, which is set to last from May 8 to May 11.
Ukraine has not formally responded to Moscow’s announcement as of the time of this publication.
Despite the fact that prior ceasefire agreements have frequently failed to hold on the ground, the statement comes amid increased tensions and international efforts to seek a break in hostilities.
