Craig David and Usher are discussing collaborating on a song

Usher and Craig David are discussing working together on a new tune.

During the music superstar’s “Past, Present, and Future” residency at London’s O2 Arena earlier this month, the “7 Days” hitmaker joined him on stage. It is now rumored that the two are going to release a new song together.

“Usher and Craig have always had a lot of time for each other and there is a lot of respect between them,” a source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column.

Craig and Usher discussed collaborating on a new song when Craig joined him on stage at the O2 earlier this month.

“They have now requested some ideas from their writers.” If they can find the proper song, Craig might be featured on Usher’s upcoming album, which he has been secretly assembling.

When the two were performing together on stage recently, the “OMG” singer paid respect to Craig by joining him on the songs “Fill Me In” and “7 Days.”

“Every time we’ve ever met, it’s been positive, and we’ve taken advantage of every opportunity to celebrate each other,” the 46-year-old actor stated.

“My audience taught me a lot about your audience.

“You deserve it every week of the year, so thank you for your contribution to R+B, the celebration of your music.”

Craig, 43, retorted: “This guy and I have a long history together; it’s been a lovely ride.

“We are thankful to everyone who has been there from the beginning to the end, as your legacy is what we live for.”

The star said last year that ever since they had a “moment” freestyling together on a French radio station early in their careers, he had been dreaming of working with the “Yeah!” hitmaker.

“For me, having grown up listening to Usher, I feel that would be a great… we would create something special,” Craig told BANG Showbiz at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard.

When I was releasing songs like “Fill Me In” and “7 Days,” and he had “You Make Me Wanna” and was about to release his album “8701,” we had a moment at a place called Skyrock at a radio station over there in Paris. We performed a little freestyle on the radio.

“You guys need to [do something together],” everyone said. One may claim that we checked that box.
