The opposition in Ecuador challenges the election results after being refused a recount

The Citizens’ Revolution party published a video late Saturday night claiming that Ecuador’s opposition party has lodged yet another challenge to the results of the recent presidential election.

The Citizens’ Revolution party said it submitted a new report exposing multiple anomalies, but Ecuador’s electoral commission rejected a request for a recount of votes on Thursday from the leftist opposition.

The election authority and the Organization of American States (OAS) have recognized the election and ruled out fraud, and incumbent President Daniel Noboa emerged victorious earlier this month.
