As Trump enters his 100th day in office, a poll indicates that he is facing widespread disapproval

A recent NBC News Stay Tuned Poll indicates that most Americans are not happy with Donald Trump’s job performance as he approaches his 100th day back in office.

55 percent of those surveyed say they are unhappy with how Trump has handled his first few months in office. Thirteen percent “somewhat disapprove,” and forty-two percent “strongly disapprove.”

However, 45 percent of respondents said they are happy with Trump’s performance, with 19 percent stating they “somewhat approve” and 26 percent stating they “strongly approve.”

Trump is getting ready for a rally in Michigan on Tuesday, where he plans to commemorate his 100th day in office. Speaking enthusiastically about the occasion, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote on X, “President Trump is excited to return to the great state of Michigan next Tuesday, where he will rally in Macomb County to celebrate the FIRST 100 DAYS!”

Since taking office again, Trump has taken strong stances on a number of subjects, most notably trade and immigration, which have drawn a lot of criticism. According to the poll, 49% of Americans support Trump’s immigration policies, while 51% disapprove of them. 61 percent are against trade and tariffs, and 60 percent are unhappy with his handling of living expenses and inflation.

19,682 American adults with a margin of error of 2.2 percentage points participated in the NBC News Stay Tuned Poll, which was conducted from April 11–20.
