
Rwanda and DR Congo will sign a “declaration of principles” in Washington as part of a peace agreement
Washington, DC, is scheduled to host the signing ceremony at 2:00 PM (8 PM Central Africa Time).

Under the assistance of the US administration, the foreign ministers of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are scheduled to sign a “declaration of principles” in Washington, D.C., on Friday, April 25.
On Friday, Olivier Nduhungirehe and his Congolese colleague Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner will sign the agreement in the presence of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to a timetable posted on the US State Department website.
At 2 p.m. Washington, D.C. time, or 8 p.m. Kigali time, the signing ceremony is planned.
The forthcoming agreement’s specifics were not disclosed to the public.
Following the signing, Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau will meet with Nduhungirehe and Wagner individually.
