Lil Durk might soon receive a bond
Judge to Reconsider Durk’s Release in Murder-for-Hire Case Sets Hearing for May 8
Perhaps Lil Durk will receive a bond.
A Los Angeles judge recently consented to reexamine Lil Durk’s incarceration in the murder-for-hire case involving the 2022 murder of Lul Pabb, the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo.
Durk was imprisoned in October 2024. Calling it retaliation for King Von’s 2020 murder, the Feds claim he assisted in funding the ambush that killed Lul Pabb.
“The case is weak,” his attorneys claim. They assert that prosecutors are relying on fan-made videos and rap lyrics that were unrelated to Durk.
The focal point of it all was the song Wonderful Wayne & Jackie Boy, which was recorded months before to the shooting.
Now, Durk’s group has returned with a fresh bond proposal. Alamo Records is contributing $1 million in cash, $900,000 in real estate, and $150,000 from a business colleague. Additionally, they promise intense supervision to keep him in line, electronic ankle tracking, and private protection around-the-clock.
They’re hoping that it will be sufficient to free him while he battles the lawsuit.
The judge previously ruled that he posed too much of a risk. However, a second shot is scheduled for May 8.
Although Durk continues to enter a not guilty plea, a conviction could result in either life in prison or the death penalty.
If this link does, however, Durk may soon be able to touch grass.
