Gilbert Arenas’ son, high school basketball star Alijah Arenas, is in critical condition after a cybertruck crash

Son of former NBA player Gilbert Arenas, high school basketball sensation Alijah Arenas was taken to the hospital early Thursday morning following a collision involving his Tesla Cybertruck.

Although the reason of the collision is still unknown, pictures purporting to show Alijah’s expensive car show the truck lying completely wrecked on the side of a neighborhood road in Los Angeles. When emergency personnel arrived on the location at 4:55 AM in response to reports of a “trapped patient,” everyone had already gotten out of the car.

According to reports, flames devoured the Tesla’s front end. The hospital received a “roughly 18-year-old” who was in “serious condition.” Alijah Arenas was put into an induced coma, according to ESPN.

Adidas just signed Alijah, a talented adolescent athlete, as a sponsor. After averaging almost 31 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists during his high school career, the 18-year-old, a five-star recruit, committed to USC.

Gilbert and Alijah’s mother, reality TV personality Laura Govan, had not made any public remarks regarding his status as of Thursday afternoon.
